New Comics Day 8/17/11
Aug. 17th, 2011 10:05 pmFour books this week and only one non-Marvel. And Darkwing Duck may be restarting as Marvel after it closes at #18 and Disney folds up the license to Kaboom Studios. But until then, we've got Darkwing and Launchpad running against each other for mayor. Plus another Ducktales cameo...
Still more "Fear Itself" tie-ins. Though Parker on Thunderbolts and Gage on Avengers Academy are doing pretty well with the mess they've got to work with. The Academy kids are out-powered by the Fear God/Super-Villain couple hunting them in their own base. And some of the least heroic team members are having to step-up...
Thunderbolts has more carnage in Chicago, with both teams fighting demon-y things. And several people have long-term plans that look to be coming to fruition...
Finally we've got the 2nd issue of the new Mark Waid Daredevil. With some gorgeously drawn Captain America vs. Daredevil action drawn by Paolo Rivera...
