The roommate finally managed to drag me out to one of his intermittent Sunday games. No idea when they next will manage one. But its a 3.x Ravenloft campaign without actually being in the Demiplane of Dread. Instead Ravenloft is just a creepy ass duchy somewhere near-ish to Greyhawk, still controlled by Strahd. The group already seems to have all the major anti-Strahd artifacts but has just never managed to take down the uber-vamp. This session theywe sought to require some of the Fanes, which are marks that give a bonus to one character. In this case, I volunteered to sit the vigil that set my character up with 10 point damage reduction vs. acid, sonic and fire. Of course first we had to get past some nasty-ass blood eel things backed by one of Strahd's pet warlocks. I'd brought in my Kingdoms of Kalamar character, since Davan is in their level range. And his Necklace of Teeth made a huge difference in that battle...

Later, with Davan out of things because of being in vigil, the group fought off a pair of erien..eire..ereni.. Devil Women. Flying Devil Women...

And it was good to roll some dice with a group again. Wish it was with a group that met more regularly or that didn't involve as much of a drive...
