Let us get the negatives out of the way, with qualifiers. 1. The dream-scapes are, well, fairly dull. Beachside mansion, apartment with rioting outside, city street and warehouse in the rain, hotel, snow level from FPS. But perhaps this is because they are meant to be constructed dreams and not natural ones. Plus the effects shown from the dreamer reacting to changes in their physical enviroment were cool. Especially the spinning of the hotel. 3. Has Ken Watanabe and Michael Caine but doesn't do much with them. Still Caine and Watanabe, even a little bit is great. Plus: Gordon-Levitt is one of my three favorite actors, period. And Ellen Page is great and Dileep Rao and Tom Hardy were scene stealers. 4. Nolan uses more jump cuts and shaky cam during fight scenes then I'd like. But its not so bad that its unwatchable and those fight scenes and some of the gun battles are excellent. 5. The plot is more than a bit of a paper-thin piece of nonsense with all the "rules" for the dream stuff seemingly made up on the spot. But everything carries along at a great pace and is interesting enough that you don't really care or notice that much during...
