The new Luke Cage led Thunderbolts get a lesson in their limitations before being sent on their fist mission. Meant to be an "easy" breaking in thing. I do kind of wish they'd use the design for Ghost with the lower-mounted eyepieces. Makes him look creepier...

Yay! Faerber and Image bring back Dynamo5! Ok, "Sins of the Father" is only a 5-issue mini. But I'll take what I can get. I especially like the flashback where the alien bad guy calls for Earth's champion and Captain Dynamo, OmniMan and Supreme all show up. 3 Superman-homages for the price of 1!

I'm still on the fence about keeping Angel. Probably just general burn-out with Willingham I guess. Still, the bedroom shenanigans caused by Illyria's godling pheromones was amusing at least...

The latest issue of the Tick concentrates on a giant brawl involving aquatic characters. Pretty much every one from the various incarnations of the series. And a few like Scuba Cowboy, Jumbo Shrimp and Oysters Sockafella that seem new. And that, once again, I really wish I'd thought of myself. Also don't play "Risk" with Bumbling Bee. She's one of "those" kind of players...

And lastly another issue of the MOuse Guard: Legends of the Guard anthology. This time around stories from Alex Kain & Sean Rubin (Redwall), Terry Moore (Strangers in Paradise) and Lowell Francis & Gene Ha (Top 10). The cover legend this time is about a ghost in a library...

Aside from Jake Gyllenhaal being about as Persian as I am, an enjoyable enough action movie. Ben Kingsley, as he often is when playing the villain, was amusingly over-the-top. The leads were charismatic and the romantic tension didn't feel forced. The action sequences were very much of the pakour inspired leaping around the rooftops thats popular right now. Which fits the source material. And the fx for the "rewind" bits looked very cool. A fun, light Summer movie. Plus bonus: AMC is only charging $5.50 now for Mon-Thur movies that aren't special engagements or opening night. Going with the family and actually spending less than $20 on tickets is something I'd long since forgotten...
