New Comics Day 12/16/09
Dec. 17th, 2009 07:40 amOk I'm awake enough now. Awake enough for COMICS!
Starting with the cosmiclly trippy G0dland. Which is in space. Except for the bits on Earth where a mad super-villain despot has a conversation with actor Kadeem Hardison...
ps238 continues the long-standing super-hero comics tradition where all pseudo-Kryptonians are giant jerk-faces. Happily though this leads to another semi-random student body super-hero team forming...
Bill "Fables" Willingham temporarily takes over the writing chores on Angel for a Connor centric story. Which is cool because I like Connor and so all you haters can just shut it! Plus I like new artist Brian Denham a lot more than the last guy. Cleaner more legible work for sure...
In Ex Machina Mayor Hundred is trying to catch up with the altered, empowered and crazed Suzanne Padilla. And at the same time setting up both his Presidential bid and the chance for Deputy Mayor Wylie to get his current job...
And Willingham again on Fables. Where Geppetto makes a bid to take over Fabletown, playing on everyone's fears of the dangerous Mr. Dark. Which isn't something the newly elected head of the Witches Queen Ozma agrees with. Plus the finale of Baba Yaga vs. Buffkin!
