New Comics Day 7/8/09
Jul. 8th, 2009 04:40 pmA very light week, with only two titles coming in that I picked up. First the next issue of The Unwritten with Tommy further investigating his past at his old home. Now hosting a horror writer's symposium...
And I grabbed the 1st issue of Wednesday Comics DC's new weekly title. Its done old-school newspaper comics style, with 15 ongoing stories, each taking up the equivalent of two pages all by different creators. Stand-outs include a Kyle Baker written and drawn "Hawkman", Azzarello and Risso on "Batman", Neil Gaiman and Mike Allred on "Metamorpho", Paul Pope on "Strange Adventures" and Adam Kubert writing and Joe Kubert drawing "Sgt. Rock and Easy Company". Its hard to judge things on just a single page, but so far this looks good...
