New Comics Day 2/11
Feb. 11th, 2009 09:01 pmHappily got the several of my missed books. Also some trades from Amazon. So between that and a steak dinner I'm in a good mood. Sleepy. But good...
First off I got last week's Jersey Gods, a New Gods/4th world homage set in New Jersey. Good so far, looks like it will be a fun book...
We've also got the finale for the most recent run of Brit. With Brit confronting his brother Euclid to get back his son...
Angel: After the Fall wraps up its first major arc, with Angel and the others as heroes to the various people who were trapped in Hell/L.A. with them. Though Wes is gone and Charles is in a coma. But in the future we'll have the greatest tag team of monster hunters. Spike and George the Psychic Giant Fish! Also the book will just be called Angel in later issues...
In the new Fables Mr. Dark moves into the ruins of Fabletown and prepares to set up shop. And despite all measures medical and magical the end draws close for Blue...
Matty in DMZ continues to struggle with his man Parco's decision to work with the Free State and then finds out about a purchase being made from the Ghosts...
Also from last week is the Franklin Richards Son of Genius: Dark Reigning Cats and Dogs one-shot. More wacky hi-jinks with Franklin and H.E.R.B.I.E. And his new puppy, Puppy...
Finishing up this week as well is Patsy Walker: Hellcat. Families are reunited, monsters fall in the water, magicians are uncursed and all is made safe...
And we finish up with the second issue of Incognito. Where the Black Death finds out which of his former people sold him out to the law. And so takes steps to deal with Zack Overkill. Who is breaking his probation by putting on a mask and..well fighting crime...
