New Comics Day 12/17
Dec. 17th, 2008 08:09 pmWell, I managed to pick up the books I put back last week. And leave behind around half my pulls for this week. Ah well...
In addition to the mix of last and this week, I got a reprint of the latest Firebreather. With Duncan starting Driver's Ed. Why is he taking that? He flies and the Image version of SHIELD is willing to chauffeur him around. *shurg*
Out this week another Silver Age adventure of The Age of The Sentry! Guest-starring the Golden Age Sentry and the Blonde Phantom as the leader of the Silver Age Avengers...
And a DECENT finale to Secret Invasion with Avengers: The Initiative as turn-coat Skrull Crusader and the 3-D Man's multi-team Skrull Kill Krew work to prevent the defeated Skrulls from setting off a Doomsday device. Lots of hero deaths along the way...
The new Ex Machina has mayor Hundred deciding to have his memoirs done in comic form. With him interviewing comics writer Brian K. Vaughn and artist Tony Harris for the job...
From last week is issue 5 of 6 of Ambush Bug Year None, show-casing the pure evil that is Dan Didio. I complain a great deal about DC's EiC but the man is willing to take a joke...
This week's new (and soon canceled) Manhunter jumps forward a dozen years as Kate's son prepares to go against his mom's wishes and join the caped fraternity...
The latest Fables continues with the underpinnings of Fabletown starting to collapse. In some cases, quite literally...
And finally, also from last week, DMZ starts a new story-arc as Matty returns to the DMZ and work for new governor Parco Delgado...
