Hey we Democrats don't hate kids. We love kids. Because they are soooo delicious!

We have learned from our Obama Master. Babies are nom nom nom...

Another light week. Thankfully. Though my friendly comics clerk, [profile] ferris_dabler did give me a free if beat up a bit copy of Power Pack: Origin Album. Yay for free Simonson Power Pack!

Also from Marvel is the mid-point of the *sigh* Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane mini. MJ's Limo Girl improv bit has become a school sweeping meme. And she's pretty annoyed by it. Plus a big ass storm hits the city...

Next we have something I never would have thought I'd be spending money on. A book with the words "Marvel" and "Zombies" and "3" in the title. Because I truly hated ALL the previous Marvel Zombies books. Even the Army of Darkness/Ash cross-over one. And yet Van Lente writes Marvel Zombies 3 and I'm all up in it. Man-Thing cameo! Florida's Initiative team! Aaron Stack and Jocasta! Zombie Deadpool! Morbius the Living Vampire! ZOMBIE Morbius the Living Vampire!

Ok, so leaving that behind we go to the other half of the Big Two with the 2nd issue of Secret Six. Where Cat-man and Batman throw down while the rest of his team perform a jailbreak on the Alcatraz Super-Max Metahuman prison. And I must say, this new persona for Bane is intriguing...

100 Bullets REALLY starts ramping up. We get the consequences of the Lono/Dizzy fight. And the Loop/Cole shoot-out. And Graves starts getting annoyed...

Then its over to a new Knights of the Dinner Table. The guys are still in Bag World, Brian AGAIN falls for the ol' sympathy animal trick and table damage fund is emptied. Also the fall-out from JoJo's firing at Hard8 continue. And some articles and back-up comics, most of which I barely skimmed...

Lastly another I Kill Giants. I'm guessing the lengthy pause between issues 1 and 2 was unintentional. And Barbara's sanity becomes more and more an open question. And Sophia betrays a trust. Oh and more on Barbara's family situation...

My main complaint about this movie is it reminds me that I now have a FOURTH damn Robert Parker series to start picking up. Oh well, at least its REALLY unlikely this one will mesh the way the other three do...

Actually thats not true. My main problem with the movie is that after a semi-climatic gun fight at the end of act two it then jumps too abruptly to act three. Which drags more than a bit. Also I had a hard time buying into the instant romance between Harris' Virgil Cole and Zellweger's Ally French...

Still I'd recommend this western. While Harris' makes some rookie moves as a director, the acting is top notch all around. Harris, Viggo Mortensen, Jeromy Irons (who I didn't even recognize beneath the scruffy beard) and Lance Henricksen. I also liked the town elders who hire Harris and Mortensen's Lawmen-for-hire to clean up their town...
