House/dog sitting for the family for a week. More later...

A very heavy week, not even counting the couple back issues I had from last week. So lets start with Marvel.

Its still Slott/Gage co-writing on Avengers: The Initiative. I wonder if that will be long term or just until the Secret Invasion tie-in stuff ends. This issue has the new 3-D Man being rescued by the remaining members of the Skrull Kill Krew. Who recruit the original 3-D Man to run their ops center using old-school out-dated non-Stark gear. And then begin a state by state Skrull defestation of the Initiative teams. Starting with Arizona. And back at Camp Hammond could it be up to Ant-Man 3 to save the world? Yeah, everyone's boned...

Out in space its still more SI tie-in on Nova. Where a Skrull team attempts to assassinate the last galatic cop, but he's rescued by the original Super-Skrull. And then the two head to Earth to face the main invasion force...

And in Wolverine: First Class Logan just wants to watch final game of the Stanley Cup like any red-blooded Canadian. Which may be difficult with Kitty Pryde throwing a slumber party...

Next we go to Image, starting with a new Brit, the book Robert "Create Your Comics And Own Them" Kirkman farmed out to writer Bruce Brown. Ah, sweet sweet hyprocisy. Anyway the issue is a fun romp as the brother and sister team of Brit and Brit stomp some intergalatic drug dealers...

On the new Proof Agent Brown is still in New York trying to clear up the loose ends of her old life and track down a missing golem. And Proof has to deal with some religious types in rural Illinois...

While my comic shop STILL hasn't got issue #32 of ps238 for me, they did get #33. *sigh* Anyway Cecil and Revenant team up, which leads to Cecil finally figuring out he can detect meta-humans, not aliens. And Tyler makes his decision about the future of super-humanity...

Then we have Jack of Fables getting back to the "present" where we see that Jack had a deeper than suspect influence on one of the Page sisters. And the Bookburner prepares to lead his army of partially erased Fables to capture Revise's library...

The election results are in at DMZ, despite the bloodthirsty attempts at some parties to stop them. And with a new mayor things look they'll be changing for the DMZ...

Sturges continues to capture the Rogers' feel on Blue Beetle, with Jaime trying to track down the four fugitive, super-powered illegal immigrants. Plus we get more of Paco's family. They may not be Dr. and Mr. Reyes, but they're pretty cool...

And we finish with the next Ambush Bug: Year None which is very, very..um..Ambushy Bug. Its pretty funny, but I kind of wish it had SOME kind of structure to it. Lots of amusing sequences and concepts. And if you were a fan of previous Ambush Bug titles you should be loving this one. But I just find it enjoyable. I guess I just need more story and character to my humor...
