Wizard stops pretending

Thanks to Ragnell and others I got to see Wizard's latest cover:

Way to go guys. Good on you for stopping even PRETENDING you were a gender neutral magazine about comics journalism. Its important that you realign yourself to try and force yourself ever more into the market already flooded by Maxim, FHM and their clones...

Its always a weirdly proud moment when you realize you quit something back when it was just lame and not super, weak-ass lame...

Also in other news, back still hurts but not as much. So I'll probably be able to hobble into work and then shuffle around in only mild agony...

The Dish

The story of the Australian relay station that helped broadcast the first moon landing. Starring Sam Neil and Patrick Wharburton. The four person team works to overcome various difficulties in order to keep their broadcast dish active during the launch and then landing and moonwalk. Possibly the best part of the movie are the shots of the dish team, the local townsfolk and real news footage of people watching the moonwalk. The look of awed rapture is a reminder that we should be dreaming bigger now...

Wonder Deschanel

Bones as Wonder Woman. So adorable and sexy. Plus she spins. Yay!
