New Comics Day
Oct. 24th, 2007 06:33 pmIn addition to my pull list, today my copy of Empowered Vol. 2 also arrived in the mail. So yay on that. We'll start this week though with the latest X-Men: First Class, with our young mutants having their first run-in with the Hulk while doing a favor for a military buddy of Xavier's. Plus another adorable Colleen Coover back-up (with the X-Men trying to conduct a seance) AND a Giarrusso Mini Marvels short. Seriously Marvel, all-ages book. Coover, Giarrusso, Sumerak and Eliopolous. I'm thinking a quarterly giant digest thing along the lines of Shonen Jump or something...
Next we finish up Annihilation: Conquest: Wraith. Wraith stops the Phalanx from using the spirit of the Supreme Intelligence to take over all of the remaining Kree and becomes a secret godling. Enh. An ok title, but if it weren't part of the overall story I wouldn't be getting it. Definitely the weakest of the four tie-in books before the main part of Annihilation: Conquest kicks off...
Then its an all new Casanova with Zephyr and her new boyfriend going after Xeno Newman's first target. And Cass' crew of friends agreeing to work with time travel girl to figure out what has gone wrong with time...
Dark Horse finishes up its first F.E.A.R. Agent mini-series with the final fall-out from the Tetaldian/Dressite/Earth war. Which also shows why Keith's marriage fell to pieces...
And we finish up with a new Blue Beetle. Which is, not to surprising given the antagonism of the Reach and the Corps, a tie-in to the Sinestro War. With one of the fallen Sinestro Corps ring picking a new host from Jaimie's allies...
