lurkerwithout: (Bag cat)
The semi-feral parking lot cats are staring at me again. I think they can read my mind. And now the know that I now know what they might know now...

I need a nap...

Man, what a long day. And my car is STILL in the shop. Plus my comics shop was shorted on part of their order so a couple of titles will have to wait for next week. Still thats probably best for my budget. Also it meant that I could pick up the last couple of issues for Metal Men. Issues that have teams of alchemical golems, the .2 Generation (including a big robot teddy bear, L-Ron and a Manhunter) and T.O. Morrow's Death Metal Men. Yay for comics mad science!

From the current pulls we start with the Suicide Squad: From the Ashes miniseries by Ostrander. Which seems to be a prequel that will explain how Rick Flag was alive to be rescued by Bronze Tiger over in Checkmate...

And then we go to FEAR Agent: The Last Goodbye, where some of the last humans struggle to survive and strike back against the aliens battling each other on Earth...

After that we visit an old friend with the Groo 25th Anniversary Special. Groo and the Sage deal with a sneezing plague. One that a certain mendicant swordsman might be responsible for. Plus a bonus tale of Lil' Groo and The Groo Alphabet...

In Nova, Kree Nova recruit Ko-Rel attempts a near suicide run against the Phalanxed Nova Prime and Gamora...

Then back to Earth with Jack of Fables where Gary the Pathetic Fallacy attempts to explain to Jack why he's the copy of Wicked John. And Revise's goons round up the mysterious Kevin Thorn...

And then in Fables plans for the escalation of the Fabletown/Advesary war continue. With Frau Totenkinder revealing her motivations to Sheriff Beast...

In the new DMZ we get a one-shot story about tagger artist Decade Later and his life's work...

Then its 100 Bullets where Benito sits down for a family dinner with his father and future "mom". And Lono has a visit from an unexpected old "friend"...

And we finish up with the finale to Cover Girl. Despite missing several issues I was easily able to catch up with the overall plot. Sadly many of the action scenes were drawn in a way that was somewhat...confusing. The flow of scenes just didn't seem to mesh right...
