But yes, Jeff Parker's X-Men First Class gets added to my pull list, in the hopes of seeing yet more Coover drawn back up features. Not that seeing the disembodied head of Prof. X fight the disembodied head of Mastermind in the skies over Monster Island isn't pretty awesome on its own...
Also snagged a free issue of Spider-Man Family #4. 'Cause Jeff Parker has Spider-Man team-up with the Agents of A.T.L.A.S. to fight animal people. Oh and Chris Eliopoulos writes a wonderful tale of Puppetmaster where he helps a small child who has lost his mom, rather than one where he's a crazed waste of skin who sells women into sexual slavery...
And continuing with Marvel, we have Annihilation: Conquest - Starlord where are plucky band of expendables suffers some losses and teams with some unexpected allies...
Next we go with the Distinguished Competition's Blue Beetle. Jaime, Paco and Brenda go to investigate a space launch. Where they team-up up with the Teen Titans. Which is good since the Reach wants the launch stopped and they've hired the Main Man, Lobo to make sure it happens. Also you have to love any book that mocks the prevalence of exposed belly shirts in modern super-person fashion...
Then we have a new Repo from Rick Spears and Rob G. Sadly this issue is a bit of a confused sloppy mess. Not near their best work. C'mon guys, I know you can do better. If you're going to half ass it like this, you might as well go and finish up The Pirates of Coney Island...
Over on Invincible ViltrumiteWoman (did they even give her name?) threatens Mark and then picks a fight with Alan the Alien...
And then to put a cap of pure awesome on the day we've got Mouse Guard Winter: 1152. A perfect follow up to the previous mini-series. The Mouse Guard take no 'tude from mean ol' owls...
