This Top 10 list being yoinked from
Tom the Dog. What are your ten most rewatchable movies. Not the ones you think are best. But the ones where you drop them in the vcr or dvd player regularly. Or stop channel flipping when you come across them...
For me, in no real order, subject to change (hell I've changed one pick from when I originally wrote the list a couple days ago):
Lilo & Stitch: Disney's tale of a Hawaiian girl and her pet alien gets me every damn time. "Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten." *sniff* "Your knuckles say "cobra"...”Cobra Bubbles"... you don't... *look* like a social worker." Ha. I love this movie and all you haters can just shut up and die...
Empire Records: If you can't get behind a group of teens led by the cynical and disillusioned Paglia working at a record store than you're just cold and dead inside. Damn the man! Save the Empire! Also Rene Zellweger is insanely hot in this. Plus Robin Tunney is even more hot to me. What can I say, I've got a thing for girls with stubbley heads...
Con Air: This movie is everything I want in an over-the-top action movie. Sick/wrong but funny one-liners. Crazy/evil lead bad and a crew of memorable henchmen. Big Explosions. And Cage's ex-Ranger walking up the aisle to the cockpit, laying waste to anyone who gets in his way. FUCK YEAH!
Serenity: If you're on my f-list than I don't see how you aren't a big fan of this already. I mean c'mon, even
spoonyone marks out for
Firefly and
Serenity and he LOATHES Joss Whedon. You can't take the sky from me...
Miller's Crossing: An amazing cast. Cinematography but a future master. A pitch perfect soundtrack. And a guy gets his head beaten in with a shovel. This gangster movie is the Coens running perfectly on all cylinders...
Reefer Madness: The Musical: The most recent addition to my list. Its got memorable songs. Tim Roth, Stephen Webber and Kristen Bell as the infinitely adorable Mary Lane. Who is ascairt of turtles...
Payback: The original cut, not the newer directors cut. The DC is a better noir movie, but the OC makes for a more enjoyable movie. Porter just wants his money. And he'll fuck up the shit of whoever gets in his way...
Brick: Take the {kid from
3rd Rock from the Sun + a pulp detective story) x a high school setting = TOTAL FUCKING AWESOME.
The Princess Bride: My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. STILL BAD-ASS. And bonus Andre the Giant, Wallace Shawn and an actual enjoyable role by Billy Crystal...
Fools Rush In: What can I say. I enjoy romantic comedies, where 1: I like the characters and 2: they are actually funny. Perry and Hayek just edge out Cage and Fonda from
It Could Happen to You...
