Haley (Ellen Page) meets up with Jeff (Patrick Wilson) her online friend and potential boyfriend. Except Haley is 14 and Jeff is a 32 year old photographer. And then Haley turns the tables on Jeff, drugging him, tieing him up and interogating him. The first act (where the two are flirting) is truly creepy. And the second act (where Haley interogates and tortures Jeff) is disturbing and well-done. But it starts to fall apart in the third and final act as it becomes a back and forth, cat and mouse typical thriller sequence. They try to pull it out again at the very end, but it just doesn't hold up anymore. Which is a pity, since it was a very effective movie up to that point...

Wal-Mart

Well many negative things can be said about the Wal-Mart chain and its owners. I've probably said some of it in the past. And much of that is likely true. BUT. And its a fairly important exception for me. I just paid 12 bucks for my two main medications; metformin (2 months supply, $8) and lisinopril (1 month, $4). At CVS, with my insurance discount, I was paying a little less than $70. Thats a pretty hefty savings there...
