When it comes to people's sob stories I'm always a giant soft touch. Which is another reason I avoid carrying cash most of the time. Though I wonder how much my being willing to give people money is because I pity them and empathize with their problem versus my wanting to get rid of them as quickly as possible with the least amount of confrontation...

A big haul this week. Including volume 6 of The Legend of Grimjack, with the death of John Gaunt...

Over to the pull list, we've first got the finale for Mouse Guard, where the Guard faces off in battle against the army of the traitor Midnight. Plus bees. Too awesome to easily describe...

Next up is Invincible where we check in with Alan the Alien, cyborged Rick Sheridan, the martians, Mark's girlfriend, the Lizard League and more. Its a busy issue. Kirkman should stop doing crappy books for Marvel and just do a spin-off for Image for some of his characters...

Over in Criminal Ivan o.d.s and Leo heads back into town to check out everything. Leaving Greta at the farmhouse alone...

Next up in Transformers: Escalation we see the famous Megatron into pistol transformation. With an actual explanation. Plus conflict with Russian factions. And Ratchet and the humans plan a rescue mission...

In DMZ one suicide bombing is stopped, leading to a more blatant act against the U.N. forces...

In the latest issue of the Damned Eddie survives an assassination attempt on Lazlo and then goes to have a discussion with the family that owns his soul. And learns more about the list he found as well as the place he goes when he dies...

On Fables we get to see some of the differances in fathers with Bigby, the North Wind and Geppeto. Plus the art is now being done by Michael Allred...

Then on to 100 Bullets where Vic chats with Branch, Mr. Graves has a talk with Izzy and Lono's crew goes to watch some porn...

And finally we get to PvP where a D&D game with the Knuckle of Ka"Pua PUa sends Francis, Brent and Cole back in time. Where they meet medevil Skull and Max's ancestor...

The only thing this movie really has going for it is a better robbery than the first. But the set-up murder to start it off is terrible. Instead of the diner scene you've got the pair of killers tracking their target down at a School for the Blind. And then instead of having the insurance investigator teaming with the victim's cop friend, you have the pair of hired guns attempting to track down the robbery money. Though Big Jim is played by Ronald Reagan in this one, which is kind of interesting. I really miss all the noir dialogue from the first one. Plus the violence in the 2nd one looks faker...

Edit: Can you even put silencers on a revolver?

My friend [profile] spoonyone is again attempting to run a play-by-post MSH game. So anyone interested should head over to his forums and check it out. Plus I'm always hoping for more meat shields fellow heroes to stand in between me and giant, killer robots do battle for great justice!
