New Comics Day
Nov. 1st, 2006 05:44 pmOnly got 1 pull this week. Ex Machina. Which wraps up the Smoke story arc nicely. Also the person working with January is revealed...
Since I've been having such light pulls I decided to add some more titles. Mouse Guard, Criminal and What were they thinking?
For MG, I got a reprint of the 1st issue and the newest issue, 5. Mostly my store will be pulling the reprints of the 3 issues I'm missing, as well as the final issue. The title itself is somewhat similar to the Redwall books. In it you have the elite Mouse warriors who work to keep the Mouse cities and travelers safe from predators. The first issue has a kick-ass fight with a snake...
Brubaker's Criminal is just a nice, solid heist/noir type story. With the first story arc being about a robbery of a police evidence truck. And of course things don't go according to plan...
Lastly What were they thinking? is a comics mash-up series. They take old cheese fest comics and redo the dialogue and exposition/narrator boxes. This first issue uses some old monster comics. Really bad ones. The next issue will be terrible Westerns I believe...
Oh and Amazon delivered my copy of Batman & the Monster Men. Mmmmm hmmmm. Sweet sweet Matt Wagner Batman...
