Eddings

I started rereading David Edding's Pawn of Prophecy last night, the first book in The Belgariad series. And I'm having a difficult time with it. The various character traits and foibles that I used to find endearing, I'm now finding annoying. Plus the way that Belgareth and Polgara hide their family history from Garion, and then expect him to take it all graciously (at the age of 13) is just rubbing me the wrong way...
