New Comics Day
Jun. 21st, 2006 04:22 pmThree pulls this week. First up is a fairly light Dork Tower. A sort of McLeodish take on the history of gaming. But sadly no Lethargic Lad or 3 Geeks or any of the other regular back-ups. Not even a Dr. Blink. Best they have is a mini-comic of Baby Lethargic Lad. Also a supplement for Kobolds Ate My Baby...
Then over to the new Knights of the Dinner Table where we have strips for three different story-lines. In one Crush may be finally learning that his bud Switch is a stoolie. Next B.A. lays the law down on the Knights in regards to character creation (and while I love seeing B.A. grow a spine, much of the guys attempts to follow his rules are why I HATE randomized stat generation). And finally Nitro runs the Black Hands thru some more Hack Krieg before letting them know that they'll be doing some Heroes of the Hackleague next. Plus the usual assortment of single panel gags and articles (including those by
spoonyone and
sailormur)...
And last up is a new Ex Machina which begins a story arc involving marijuanna and probably firemen. Opens with a Great Machine flashback and ends with a hard-core protest...
I also grabbed some discounted Starman trades, which should finish out all the tpbs for the series (though hopefully they'll add one or two more to fill the holes missing from the complete run)...
