Quest for Music
Apr. 20th, 2006 09:59 amAnd the quest begins yesterday. Upon leaving the comics shop I decide to go and grab a pair of newly released cds. Should I go to Best Buy? Nah, lets go somewhere else. Like Zia's. So twenty minutes of dealing with construction traffic (stupid useless light rail, stupid voters who voted for this waste of money) I reach Zia's. Or where the store used to be. Damn it. And I can't remember where any of the other store branches are anymore. Skip it. Lets go to Chipotle and get a burrito...
Ugh. Lunch rush. Even after 1pm. Not worth it. Hey, Circuit City. They carry cds. Oh wait, Circuit City sucks. Sucks it hard. Blah. Its been over twenty hours since I've slept, I'll get cds tomorrow...
Ah early morning wakeup thanks to crashing around midnight. Lets go to Christown and grab some breakfast since I'm awake. And then see if the Tower Records is still there. I think it might be closed, but I'm not sure...
Ok full of cheap eggs and sausage we head out again. And look Tower Records is gone. I can tell because of the large construction vechiles reducing the entire shopping complex to rubble. Ok, time to go north then, there should be someplace at Metrocenter...
Nope, Monkey Mambo has closed, head over to Best Buy...
Nope, Best Buy is gone. But overstock book warehouse store now! Nope, not open for another hour. Further north then! Theres a Zia's somewhere...
Where the heck is that Zia's? Hey is that Fry's? Yes! Fry's Electronics they carry music!
Yay! Last copies of The Dresden Dolls' "Yes, Virginia" and NOFX's "Wolves in wolves' clothing". Hmmm. While I'm here I should look over the dvds. (NO! You just wanted cds! Shut up brain, I'm just looking.) Hey look you can get complete seasons of Due South. (You do remember plans to see a movie with Kevin later? Movies cost money.) Nice, the complete series for Keen Eddie or Wonderfalls. (Movie! Remember going out! Plus you might need gas before to...is that Greg the Bunny for only 20 bucks?)
And so return home with cds. (And funny puppets...)
