I've been buying a lot (for me anyway) of music lately. Right now I'm listening to the new MC Lars cd The Graduate. How to describe this? I guess his own tag of "post-punk laptop rap" fits best. Its nerd rap. So far my favorite songs are "Rapgirl", "Hot Topic is not punk rock" and "Space Game"...

Before that was The Clash classic London Calling and the Madd Caddies' Rock the Plank. If you don't already know the Clash I'm kind of shocked. As for Mad Caddies they're a punk band whose album I had to get after hearing "Weird Beard" a couple times on the Skapunk show...

And also I got the latest Cowboy Mouth album, Voodoo Shoppe after hearing "Joe Strummer" on Skapunk. This is probably their first real album post-Katrina and with their new bassist Sonia Tetlow...

Oh and The Pogues' Hell's Ditch which I believe was their last album with McGowan as lead vocals. Good album, even with the mushy vocals...
