Anita Blake

Finished Laurell K. Hamilton's latest Anita Blake book, Micah last night. And while it was a decent story (managing to blend together eroticism and horror in the Dark Fantasy genre that Hamilton is known for), it was too short. And I wouldn't mind that normally. Its basically a novella, good to hold fans like me over until Danse Macabre comes out later in the year. But its a full priced paperback, running 7.99. For 245 pages, and its only that long because the lay-out of the book has larger than normal margins and what looks to be a slightly larger type-face. So its a PADDED 245 pages. I mean I liked learning more about Micah's background. And seeing Anita, once again, slowly further evolve into her complicated romanitic relationships. Plus of course quite a bit of white hot sex. But it really should have been a couple bucks cheaper, given thats its not actually a full novel...
