New Comics Day
Mar. 2nd, 2005 03:12 pmA very light pull for me this week. Only two regular titles and an impulse buy.
First up is the finale (and finally) of Rising Stars. First let me say how annoying it is to pay extra for a STANDARD 22 issue comic with an extra dozen pages of ads. As to the story, its nice enough, but I'm mostly just glad to get to the end of this story. It took WAY too damn long to get here...
( Spoilers )
Next up is the 100th issue of Knights of the Dinner Table. Now this is what an overpriced title should be. Higher quality paperstock, high quality color on several areas and stuffed to the gills with strips and articles. Awesome job Kenzerco dudes. Just freaking awesome.
I also grabbed the trade collection of Teenagers from Mars. This was one of the best indie comics mini-series of the last several years. Totally kick ass stuff. You should all buy this. You already have the individual issues you say? So what, so do I. Go. Buy. It. Now. Not buying this is a sign that your some kind of marmoset. One with a degenerative brain disorder...
