So today's 2e game felt more like something reasonable. Kyle had to deal with girlfriend issues (and man are there issues) so we were one short. So Dave decided to send us on a sidequest rather than move forward on the main anti-slaver mission. And so the group gets shifted into the astral plane during the night.

Some poor little githezari has lost his sword. And would like to have us retrieve it. So off we head into the astral. Vroom, at the speed of thought. Well not that fast 'cause Grr Argh, Dan's half-orc and Misty's paladin (whose name I can't ever recall) are both kinda slow-in-the-head...

But eventually we reach a githyanki outpost. And get into a fight with the scouting group sent out to meet us. Thanks to my bad ass spell slinging and Dan's ginsu sword style, we sent most of them packing. Which spooked the much of the rest of the outpost into thinking we were MUCH tougher than we actually were.

So into the outpost we go. And get messed about a bit by a githyanki wizard. He even gets Misty and Dan fighting with a Confusion spell. And then later nearly takes us ALL out with a fireball when we find the sword. But luckily the paladin heals me back from near death and I manage to silence the stupid jerk. Unfortunately, right AFTER he magic missiles the blazes out of Jane's Ima Notathief (ok thats not her name, I think its actually Quin).

But then the jerk teleports away with his stupid psionics. : shakes fist :

So lots of Eps, but not much loot. Not a big deal, since we have the huge haul of gems, jewelry and art being sold for us still...

Plus no real Uber-NPCs. Ok the githezari might have been bad ass, but he never did anything and spoke in weird riddles, so who cares...
