So I've just finished the new archives of another webcomic. This one is Freefall . Its a humorous scifi one about Sam, an alien. Helix, a robot. And Florence, a genetically modified wolf. So its also kinda an anthromorphic strip. Actually it has lots of robots that act kinda like people, so its DEFINATELY an anthromorphic strip.
But one of the things I'm really liking is the way it manages to stay cute and funny in a simple cartoon way. But still leave you with the understanding of how alien all the non-human characters are.
Sam is some kind of squid like scavenger underneath his enviromental suit. And he acts like it. He steals, he lies, he always tries to get the most reward for the least effort and hes a coward. But he's so sweet that you forgive him all these traits and see them for his just being alien.
All the robots and A.I.s have an offness to them that keeps how not human they are, no matter how human they seem to act.
And Flo has all these wolf like traits meshed together with human like social traits.
This is a very nice all ages comic. Plus the art is simple, yet adorable. I want a plushy Sam.
