The movie was better

So I got all three of Ludlum's Bourne books and I started on The Bourne Identity last night. I definately prefer the movie version. The book just goes on and on and on. Plot twist after plot twist. Doublecross after doublecross. Still almost 200 hundred pages to go and yeesh. I don't know if I'll bother with the next two. Especially since they supposedly have very little to do with the movie franchise.

Plus Damon's Bourne seems more professional and dangerous than the book version.

New Comics Day

A light pull week to start off the year. Only 2 titles.

The Question continues Vic Sage's adventures in Metropolis and has the architects of the Science Spire getting interviewed by Lois Lane. Some intresting ideas on the efforts needed to set up a vice crime ring in Metropolis...

PvP seems to be the normal collection of reprints. But it feels like Kurtz didn't add anything like he has in the past. So even the strips that are part of a story arc, feel like gag of the day. And while I loved the "Message to the Acadamy" strip I don't get why it was included. Still this issues adds Scratch Fury to the cast, though not the evil genius version, just the normal evil kitten version...

Stoopid, stoopid blockbuster

So I got a $20 gift card to Blockbuster that I decided to use today. Stopped at a nearby location and went in, hoping to grab Garden State. And they didn't have a copy for sale. So I took advantage of their 2 previewed for $20 program and got HP & the prisoner of azkaban and Lost in translation neither of which I'd seen, so thats ok.

But then I ask the clerk if they had any copies of Garden State and he just mumbles a "no" to me. Wake up jackass! I'm looking to spend MORE money in your store! Sales = Moron teen keeps job! I'll probably grab a copy from Best Buy or Circuit City or something now. I hardly ever hit Blockbuster any more, its easier to buy movies. And if I decide to join a rental program it would probably be Netflix. But the lackluster service I got just confirms to me to avoid this chain...
