The games people play
Jan. 2nd, 2005 12:12 amSo spent most of Saturday evening playing in my 2e game. This one seemed to go better. Not only did Misty step up to being more paladin like with her character and there was very little Uber-npcdom going, but I actually made significant contributions to a battle. Almost equal to super combat Munchkin monkeys Dan and Kyle.
Basically our party The Unamed Random Adventurers was on the sidequest to a sidequest to the main quest. We needed to kill some wererats to earn a map to some dungeons type areas so we could earn the coin to fund our overland trip to the slaver base. We're currently in a renamed Waterdeep and hunting wererats in the giant trash heaps just outside the city. And kicking therianthrope booty.
In fact I'm thinking one of our home-brewed magic items Dave gave to Jane's thief is a bit TOO powerful. +1 dagger that returns when thrown. AND if it hits then duplicates itself 2d12 times. Each duplicate automatically hitting and doing damage. Which means for an average roll of 12 duplicates a normal damage of 26-65. Owie. A couple wererats ended up getting litteraly diced.
Still it was nice to have taken down several opponents. First with a color spray spell than a flaming hands. Though Dan's katana weilding half-orc fighter and Kyle's wild elf bladesinger are still twinked out death on a stick...
