Mike's band
Jul. 9th, 2004 10:15 pmWent and saw my step-father's band tonight...Well its normally just him and this other guy who he played with back before his bluegrass band in the 70s and 80s...Though tonight they had a mandolin/banjo playing guy, Steve, with them...
They were all very good...Mostly 60s rock and roll...Some folk, some country, a little 50s rock...Did a wonderful cover of a Dead tune; 'Friend of the Devil'; also the Dueling banjos number from 'Deliverance'; very nice...Only thing I found wrong was during the Lewis medley they really needed someone on a piano...Jerry Lee doesn't sound right without a piano...
