Edward (Bill Milner of Son of Rambow) is a 10-year old kid obsessed with the afterlife whose parents run a small retirement home. Clarence (Michael Caine) is a former stage magician who has just moved in. The end up forming a fragile friendship that helps them both come to terms with their situation. Caine, as always, is an exemplary actor who manages to showcase his anger and fear at growing old alone. Milner is a kid to watch, he's an actor who could easily go big...
Not a flashy movie, quiet and subtle. This one won't attract a lot of attention, but its well worth the 90-odd minutes to watch...
