Not surprisingly, Zachary Quinto and Kristen Bell were reportedly friends before HEROES started. You can see some good chemistry between them and I'd be willing to be that closeness is what inspired the writers to try this.

Which I would applaud if it didn't require jettisoning Elle's character to the four winds and a badly-shot scene with bad lighting that seems to have been written only to inspire bad fan-fiction.

Elle in chains? Sylar asking to be punished? And Kristen Bell's oh so breathy moans...
