But I remember what things were like prior to my landing my current job... and how little I was earning back then.

Congratulations. Enjoy it. Spend it wisely... but if you can afford it, treat yourself a little bit.

I have to agree. The only thing keeping me from calling BA to change my flight back to, say, tomorrow is watching my per diem spreadsheet going up.
