Fandom Freakouts

*Laughs and laughs at 90% of Dr.Who fandom losing its shit*

Hey at least they made the risky and cutting edge decision to recast a middle aged white guy with a twenty something white guy...

Yanno, it's times like this that I wonder if family crises kick in just so I have more important things to wangst about/put into perspective instead.

Reserving judgement until I see the guy play the role. The fact he won't be saddled with RTD's scripts can only be a benefit.

The fact that he's in his 20's doesn't scare me.

The fact that he thinks having Peter Petrelli's Hair is a good idea DOES scare me.

Honestly- I never heard of Eccelston or Tennant, so I'm willing to give it a fair chance.

Huh. The sucky BBC show that has always sucked for over fifty sucky years will somehow manage to suck even harder in the future.

Sort of like Knight Rider.

I'm imagining Dr. Who getting sponsored by..um whats a big Brit company? I don't know. Anyway they would then change the TARDIS to better match whatever it is they sell...

Also they'd bring back K-9, because I really like robot dogs with lasers in their heads...

Yeah, it amuses me because we went through this three years ago with David Tennant.

And so you know, they did bring K-9 back for one episode in Series II. (School Reunion) And he became even more bad-ass.

Two words: Bad dog. :)

Just proving that most things are best used in small doses.

Applies to the Whoniverse, the Askewniverse and any other 'Verse one might run across.
