The Illusionist

An amazing movie. Even down to the final reveal at the end. Of course some things are still unexplained, allowing for everything to be both a trick or magic. And to paraphrase the Chief Inspector at one point "and either way its something amazing". Helped along of cross by Ed Norton at the top of his game and the always stellar Paul Giamatti. Even Jessica Biel carries her role off to perfection, something I would not have expected from her. Oh and I loved the way they would film certain scenes to hint at them being from a period camera. Definately getting added to my buy list...

It's nitpicky, but given the level of attention the writers/makers gave the period, it bothers me to no end that the horse stalls weren't cleaned out every day. A moneyed individual of that level has servants specifically for that duty.

Otherwise, it was a great movie. Far far better than The Prestige.

*adds another to the Netflix queue.*

Paul Giamatti is so talented!
