New Comics Day
And it was another lighter than expected week. Though apparantly I'm not the only one to mention that my comic shop's website is widely inaccurate when it comes to what is supposed to arrive each week. So only two pulls this week...
First is the next issue of Squadron Supreme. This one focuses mostly on Blur, Dr. Burbank and Nighthawk. And I definately think the writing is starting to pick up again, getting back to previous levels. And the art seems crisper as well...
Then we've got a new Fables, where the Adversary meets with his top people to make plans against Fabletown. I especially liked Hansel as his High Inquisitor in charge of Unauthorized Sorcery. There's also a short back-up story by Gene Ha about Rapunzel...
So since I had some extra money in my budget I decided to go down to Game Depot. Where unlike Gamer's Inn I had to make hard decisions about what I could and couldn't buy. I ended up grabbing the new edition of RuneQuest from Mongoose (which is frankly a little thin at 128 pages for 25 bucks) and a copy of Lost Cities. Next time I'll probably grab the Thieves' World source book (though I'm annoyed its $35) and a copy of Ra...
