Fail-Safe (2000)

I have to say I think I like the '64 version slightly more for a couple reasons. One, Matthieu pulled off obsessive borderline lunatic a bit better than Azaria does. Azaria seems less obsessed with trying to beat the Russians then one of those academic zealots who can't accept that they're pet theories might have flaws...

Also, most of the actors seemed just slightly off. Probably because of it being a live broadcast originally and the unlikelihood of many of them having recent experience at that...

Darkly amusing if somewhat predictable. Billy Zane is probably the best part in this, which is a very odd thing to say. Though I'm trying to remember when rubber monster suits were scary. When I was 9 maybe?
