Neverwhere

The BBC adaptation of the Gaiman book. As always with BBC productions the FX fall under the less is more rule. But it still captures the somewhat otherworldly feel for London Below. And the various actors do a fine job of capturing the feel of the characters. Especially Richard, Carabas, Mr. Croup and Vandemere, Hunter and Islington. Though for some reason they changed the Beast of London from a boar to a bull...

Outside Providence

While its good to be reminded every so often that the Farrelly brothers can make movies about more than bodily expulsions (though they still slip in scenes involving masturbation and vomit) this one doesn't have much beyond that. The acting is all good enough, but the script is very slight even for a slice-of-life movie. It lacks the heart of their movies I've enjoyed. And the over the top farce and gross out humor of their most successful movies. Really, beyond Alec Baldwin's accent not much to see here...
