Retreating back to safety
I was going to follow up with some thoughts on last week's Transgender Remembrance Day. But I'm just going to leave it at how much it sucks that people I know and have known, both online and in real-life, have a 1 in 10 chance of being killed for being "different". But I've decided to go back to my previous mental state of nihilistic apathy. Where the world is a fucked-up hell pit, but I don't care. I won't care. Caring hurts. Instead I'll confine myself to bitching about stupidity in the various forms of media. Sure I can't affect that either, but its so much less important so it doesn't matter...
This way I'll still have moments where I want to hit people with the Shovel of Karmic Retribution, but I won't want to strap them to nukes afterward and see how much of the world I can make burn...
