FUCKING FAMILY!!!

I'd say more, but 30 is too damn old for LJ bitching about family.

Suffice it to say I NEED to find full time work so they'll leave me alone long enough to get the hell out...

You're never to old to rant about family in LJ.

Seriously -- I'm 41 and I still do it. Granted, its not a regular thing (Thank Ghod), as I got a place of my own some time back. But even so, every once in a while a blood relative says or does something to make me blow my stack... so I let off steam in here.

I vividly remember what it was like still living at home in my mid-20s. So, I can well imagine the pressure you're getting from your <TONGUE_IN_CHEEK>Nearest & Dearest</TONGUE_IN_CHEEK>.

There's no shame in venting your spleen in here, if it helps keep you sane.

Just make sure your family NEVER find out about it... otherwise the spit will REALLY hit the spam!

I agree wholeheartedly. I'm 35, and spout off all the time.

Now, when *she* found it, there was hell to pay! (Note to Self: Hide them behind 'private' posts.)

Then I ranted about her snooping self.

At least I'm still sane... ish.

The only problem with "Private" posts is that then *NOBODY* else can see them... and sometimes you do want feedback/input from your LJ friends.

It's relatively easy for me to rant about family in here -- I have told none of my siblings that I have an LJ account, and even if I did it probably wouldn't matter: three of said siblings are computer illiterate, and the other sibling couldn't be bothered to look up such things.

Yeah, I recall reading an article about posting leads to the desire of recognition or something very similar. I'll see if I can't find that again and post it...

I'm at a point where I *have* to vent or I'll make a bloody mess in the living room, so I have 2 friend groups: One has my Best Friend and the other has my Real Life friends (as opposed to my Imaginary Friends...)

Has worked out nicely thus far. Now if she'd just stop sneaking up behind me while i'm typing...

Another interesting article on blogging: http://www.informationweek.com/shared/printableArticle.jhtml?articleID=59100462

But this is the one (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=1804&ncid=1804&e=1&u=/washpost/20050211/tc_washpost/a15511_2005feb10) to which I refered to (related text only here):
"It is possible to write a private blog, where only those with passwords can sign in to read the entries. But part of being a blogger is wanting to be heard."
