New Comics Day
A decent haul of of titles this week, so lets get to it.
1st up is Savage Dragon: God War a very, very late book. I mean not Moore or Strazynski or Smith late, but still really late. Its ok, a brief half-assed fight between Zeek and Powerhouse. Average art, ok scripting. Really only for the hard-core Dragon fans (raises hand) or the Kirkman junkie compleatists...
Next up is the new Outsiders which has the 2nd freakist DC sex scene I've read. Only Abby/Swamp Thing has been odder. But the look in Indigo's eyes on page 29 (i think) 3rd panel? That was worth the price of admission right there...
And then a pull from last week that I forgot to get, The Question. Which further mystifies me as to WHEN this story is taking place. I mean Big Blue apparantly hasn't me Vic before this. But I love how the Question percieves Superman with his "in two worlds" way of seeing things...
And now on to the new Fables which is all about what Jack's been up to since he fled Fabletown with a mess of Bluebeard/Charming/Fabletown's loot. Apparantly he went to Hollywood to make his autobiography...
And lastly Green Arrow. Where I still hate the new artist with the burning hate of a billion fiery exploding suns. I really do. 'Cause of his suckiness. Still Ollie, Connor, Mia and Roy all in costume together? SWEEEEEEET...
